On top, if the the chain is running dry a suitable lubricant must be planned.

Roller chains made of chromium nickel steel (Material-Nr. 1.4301) are very noncorrosive.

Version B-1 is equivalent to the european type according to  DIN 8187.
Version A-1 is equivalent to the american type according to DIN 8188.

 

 

Temperature resistance in uninterrupted service is 300 ° C. In order to avoid intercristalline corrosion this temperature must not be exeeded.

However, the breaking load is reduced tremendously if the temperature is increased. (see above table).
